CWSLAI Appreciation Loan (CAL) – A special promotional loan program offered to qualified members of the Association, available through PAF salary deduction or AFP Pension deduction. This provides lower interest rates to encourage new loan applications and increase member participation.

BENEFITS

The CWSLAI Appreciation Loan (CAL) offers the following benefits.

 

1. Interest rate of 11.40 % per annum, regardless of the terms.

 

  2. Flexible payment terms are available in 12, 18, 24,36, 48, and 60 months.

 

  3. Eligibility for CWSLAI Loyalty incentives (CLI).

 

  4. A referral fee of up to 2.5% based on the principal loan amount.

GUIDELINES

​

• The CWSLAI Appreciation Loan (CAL) will be available from January 2026 until March 31, 2026, and may be extended subject to Board approval.

​

• A documentary stamp tax shall be applied to loan transactions exceeding 250,000.00.

​

• The loan amount must comply with the Single Borrower’s Limit (SBL). Monthly amortization will be computed based on the applicable standards: the existing Net Pension guidelines issued by the AFP Finance Center for AFP Pension Loans, or the Net Take-Home Pay guidelines issued by the PAF Finance Center for PAF Salary Loans.

• Loans granted to member-borrowers will be covered by an insurance policy.

​

• Loan type to be used in the system shall include “CAL” (e.g., 12AL, 18AL, 24AL, 36AL, 48AL, 60AL)

• If the loan is renewed or fully paid before the 13th monthly amortization, a pre-termination fee equivalent to the referral fee issued at loan release will be charged. If the borrower pre-terminates the loan on or after the 13th monthly amortization, a pre-termination fee of 3% of the outstanding loan balance will be charged.

• Loans may be renewed at the member-borrower’s discretion; however, the applicable interest rate upon renewal will follow CWSLAI’s regular rates for AFP or PAF, as appropriate.
